Rosenallis Development Association

The Rosenallis Development Association was formed in 1993. The first chairperson of the committee was the late Kathleen Creagh who devoted much time and energy in promoting Rosenallis. One of the first achievements of the committee was the re-establishment of the "Festival of the Mountain" which is held annually near Glenbarrow. The Festival has been running for over thirty years now and indeed may people coming home from abroad arrange their holidays around the time and have a reunion. A percentage of the money from the festival is used for helping various charities and projects in the parish. The Rosenallis Tug of War team which took part in the festival in the year 2000 were undefeated and their trophies are on display in the "Ramblers Rest" pub in the village. Also, the Development Association organised the first ever Saint Patrick's Day parade in the village in 1994 which has now become an annual event in it's 14th year, going from strength to strength.

The Association in conjunction with Laois TRIP have recently provided a weekend evening bus service for the community. Please click here for more information.

The winners of the various competitions and draws at this year's Festival Of The Mountain are now available here.
